Taking advantage of the meeting of the Federal Bureau in Thessaloniki on 10 March, USF met with the US-Cedefop section and its members.

During this Federal Bureau held at Thessaloniki, many questions were raised: the impact of Brexit on UK staff and on EU resources, the role of agencies in the Community system, working conditions and the future of agencies (i.e. CEDEFOP) in the face of cuts in resources.

In addition, a spontaneous debate has opened up on telework, its benefits and dangers.

This meeting was followed by individual face-to-face discussions, which allowed for individualised advice and assistance. The members of the section thus multiplied their information thanks to USF networking.

USF met with the Director of CEDEFOP to present USF and its demands, in particular US-Cedefop’s request for recognition, which was heard with attention and interest.

Update 2020: US-Cedefop has finally been recognised as a partner by the agency’s administration and will therefore be able to take part in social dialogue, negotiate better working conditions for its staff and defend their rights. We again congratulate our colleagues for this fine, long-term trade union work! Discover here the post on this subject published on our social networks and do not hesitate to share your views!
