The conference (in French) on Belgian taxation was given to our members by Me Gossiaux in order to learn more about taxation in Belgium and, in particular, the tax treatment of real estate. It was also an opportunity to look at your rights and obligations in terms of taxation as a European public service worker.

The conference addressed, in particular, two topics:

  • the tax treatment of real estate in Belgium when the owner ceases his functions in the institutions and leaves the country (i.e. no longer has a tax residence in Belgium)
  • the tax treatment of real estate that the owner rents during the period of assignment outside the EU (Delegation).

We would like to thank Mr Gossiaux, partner at Hirsch & Vanhaelst, for this conference on Belgian taxation which was very instructive.

Their experience in multi-jurisdictional proceedings, as well as their privileged network of specialised lawyers throughout the world, enables them to accompany and defend their clients quickly and efficiently in Belgium and abroad.
