When it crosses international boundaries, it requires a deep understanding of legal, financial, cultural, and tax-related aspects, with the goal of preserving family legacies and wealth while complying with the laws and regulations of multiple countries.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Within the framework of the series of conferences that\u00a0<b>Union Syndicale<\/b>\u00a0offers to its members and their families, as well as to colleagues who are not (yet) members of the\u00a0<b>Union Syndicale<\/b>, everyone is invited to benefit from the\u00a0<\/span>conference\/webinar titled:<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-separator size_medium\"><\/div><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-3\">\n<h2 class=\"x_MsoNormal fusion-responsive-typography-calculated\" align=\"center\" data-fontsize=\"40\" data-lineheight=\"48px\"><b><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"color: #e30513;\">\u201cThe Key Aspects of Successions in an International Environment\u201d<\/span><\/b><\/h2>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0W<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">hich will be presented\u00a0<b>in hybrid<\/b>\u00a0by\u00a0<\/span><b><span lang=\"EN-US\">Marc Quaghebeur<\/span><\/b><span lang=\"EN-US\">, a tax lawyer who specialized in<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">international tax issues and cross-border estate planning <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">on\u00a0<\/span><b><span lang=\"EN-US\">19 October 2023<\/span><\/b><b><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span lang=\"EN-US\">at 12:30 <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">in the Press Room \u201cJustus Lipsius\u201d of the General Secretariat of the Council <\/span><span lang=\"FR-BE\">Rue de la Loi, 175 &#8211; B-1048 Bruxelles.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">During the conference, Mr. Quaghebeur, drawing upon his 39 years of experience in the field, will present the key aspects of the issues, with a particular emphasis on those related to the specific situation of individuals who have relocated abroad to engage in their professional activities within an international organization.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Marc Quaghebeur, tax lawyer specialized in international tax issues and cross-border estate planning, is the author of \u201cRest in Peace\u201d, \u201cA Guide to Wills and Inheritance Tax in Belgium,&#8221; drawing from his experience advising international couples with children in different countries and property all over the world.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><strong><span lang=\"EN-US\">The conference will be held in English.
