The administration of the General Secretariat of the Council, in collaboration with Renouveau et D\u00e9mocratie – Conseil (R&D) and Union Syndicale (U.S.), has reached an agreement on important decisions concerning working conditions<\/a>, in a commendable spirit of cooperation and dialogue. Negotiations focused on two key areas: working time and teleworking policies, and the application of statutory leave provisions within the General Secretariat of the Council.<\/p>\n

After extensive deliberations and discussions, both parties concluded their negotiations with a mutual agreement. This outcome underlines the commitment of all parties concerned to respond to the evolving needs and concerns of employees within the organization.<\/p>\n

During the negotiations, the parties reached a consensus on the measures proposed in the draft documents in Appendix A<\/a> and Appendix B.<\/a><\/p>\n

Now that the consultation process has been completed, the draft decisions presented in the annexes will now be forwarded to the Secretary-General for signature, subject to final linguistic revisions. This is an important step in the decision-making process, as it reflects the commitment of all parties to maintaining transparency and inclusiveness in policy formulation.<\/p>\n

The Administration takes note of the joint statement in Appendix C<\/a> , issued by the unions or professional organizations representing employees of the General Secretariat of the Council. It is important to note that this statement reflects the views and positions of the signatories, and that the Administration respects the diversity of views within the organization.<\/p>\n
