The first 1000 days of your child’s life (pregnancy at work)
The importance of the first 1000 days of a child’s life and their impact on the bonding process as well as on parents’ working lives.
As part of our union commitment to supporting our colleagues, we are pleased to invite you to an exceptional webinar in collaboration with Mazalé Solutions on your child’s first 1000 days of life, a crucial period that encompasses pregnancy and the first two years.
In an ever-changing world, it’s imperative that employers keep pace with society’s changing needs and put in place measures that meet the expectations of new generations. And one of the new expectations is clearly this work/life balance.
Employers and the institution must therefore first recognize that work-life balance has become a decisive criterion of job attractiveness for the new generation, as well as an important factor in employee satisfaction and well-being at work. They should also take on board the fact that parenthood is a fairly common and relatively unavoidable source of imbalance in an institution, and that it would therefore be useful to have a positive policy on the subject. Because parenthood needs to be better integrated into the world of work (for both men and women), and this could start with greater access to information, providing reassurance, explanations and preparation for future parents.
