The Union Syndicale Bruxelles has submitted proposals to the Interpreters’ Delegation aimed at supporting their work and contributing to a more comprehensive approach to risk management.
In fact, noise-related incidents continue to be recorded in the SCIC registry—and more frequently in certain rooms or buildings—despite the initiatives, analyses, and measures implemented in recent years.
Our main proposal is therefore to request that the process surrounding an incident be made more transparent, from its reporting through to feedback and follow-up on the actions taken.

This initiative is part of a campaign that the Union Syndicale Bruxelles has been waging for several years alongside interpreters.
It builds on our support for the recognition of work-related hearing loss and our ongoing demand that findings lead to concrete preventive measures, monitored over time and fully involving the relevant stakeholders.
Our goal remains the same: to ensure that the reported difficulties are understood in their entirety, that roles and response protocols are clearly identified, and that the lessons learned from each incident truly contribute to preventing future ones.
